Lamborghini doesn’t hesitate to use the Urus.

Lamborghini takes its Urus seriously. It is more than a super-SUV that can deliver incredible on-road performance. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be seeing an extreme Urus off-roader right out of the factory. Lamborghini did however modify the Urus to be used as a support vehicle for different duties. This video gives you a closer look.

This clip is from Varryx, who frequently camp out near Lamborghiniheadquarters to spot supercars. This isn’t the first occasion we’ve seen the modified Urus. Since then, it has been appearing in spy photos on occasion. The most recent was in February 2022, when we captured a Huracan prototype in Sweden. Although the black-and-yellow Urus was there in the background to assist the Huracan, it now occupies the center of the video.

The enormous roof rack is hard to miss, but if you look closer, you will see many lights mounted to it facing in all directions. The bumper guard is made of steel and protects the rear fascia. It also serves as a mount point for a full-size tire spare. The frame-mount towing hitch can be seen down low.

The front is a little more interesting. The bumper guard can be used to push the vehicles, if needed. A winch is also installed. We can see marks on the front plate that it has been used several times. Although the Urus does not ride higher than a standard model mechanically, Lamborghini isn’t going to keep a low profile when it comes to its rescue vehicle.

The Urus is a huge success story for Lamborghini, with 20,000 units being sold in just four years. The Urus has been a huge success in supercar sales. Aston Martin joined the super-SUV market with its DBX. Ferrari is soon to enter the market with the Porsangue. Lamborghini will respond with an updated Urus Evo, which should be available later in the year.
