Fiat 500 owners are happy with Abarth’s more loud and luxurious sound system.
Stellantis believes electric power is the future of everything, but Abarth will still need it. The high-strung turbocharged four cylinder engines are still a loud roar in the 595/695 models. They also have updated Competizione and Turismo trim levels for 2022.
Abarth’s ground floor is the 595. However, the 595 packs 165 horsepower (123kilowatts), which isn’t exactly entry-level. You can choose from the turbocharged 1.4-liter four pot or the more style-oriented 595 Turismo. The same power comes to you whether the turbocharged 595 Turismo is your choice. performance-oriented F595. You can choose between a hatchback or convertible Turismo. It rides on 17-inch wheels, has satin chrome mirror caps and a special steering knob. There are also gray dashboard fascias and leather seats in black or brown. You have the option of either a manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission.
The F595 trim is available on the 595. It doesn’t add power, but it does make a lot of noise. The Record Monza Sovrapposto active muffler with quad tips can be controlled by the driver. It offers quiet or loud operation at the touch of a button. The quad tips are mounted vertically instead of horizontally. This adds a little Abarth madness to the setup. It rides on 17-inch wheels, but has an upgraded suspension and special badge to identify it as an F595.
Abarth 695, the range-topping Abarth model, pulls 180 horsepower (134 kW) from a shared 1.4-liter mill. This gives it a slightly faster 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) time than the 595’s 7.3 seconds. You can also get it in Turismo trim, which is available for convertible and hatchback. It adds Alcantara touches as well as standard leather interior.
The 695 Competizione is the most significant news. It adds an active exhaust system to the mix. The leather seats have been replaced with fabric Sabelt racing seats, which feature a carbon shell and red stitching. The powertrain is the same, but buyers have the option to choose a paddle-shift sequential transmission. It means that the mechanical limited-slip differential standard-issued with this vehicle must be dropped.
The pricing in Europe for 2022 Abarth 595 starts from PS21,295. While the 695 is more expensive at PS24.495, it’s still cheaper than the 695 Competizione convertible.
