The Nissan 240Z, also known as Fairlady Z/S30 in some markets, is a beautiful car. It has a long hood and slender deck. It is the first generation of Nissan two seat coupes, otherwise known as Z cars.
Reports circulated this year that the successor to the Nissan 370Z will receive retro cues. These cues are specifically inspired by the 240Z. This is good news considering the excellent design of the original Z car.
Designer Leyang Bai, California, took this inspiration and created his own version of the 370Z successor. He posted it at his Page.
The 480Z was the final product of four phases and 294 hours of work. Leyang Bai’s design for the next Z car successfully blends retro elements with Nissan’s current design language. We think it looks great and, if the 2022 Nissan 400Z has anything like this, we believe that it will have a strong chance of reviving its declining sales in the U.S.
The 400Z is not the official name. However, it is believed that the next Z car will borrow the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine of the Infiniti Q60. It produces 400 horsepower (298 kilowatts), and 350 pound-feet (475 Newton meters) of torque. In addition to the standard auto slushbox, a six-speed manual will be offered.
Although the 370Z successor is expected to debut within the next 12 month, it’s possible that it will be delayed due to the current coronavirus pandemic. This year, trademarks surfaced suggesting a new logo both for the brand as well as for the car. It would likely debut in the latest Z sports coupe.
