You can even get a great view of the engine.
The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 The Blue Oval will not make a complete debut of the car until the summer. Although the company is open to letting people see its eagerly awaited muscle car, this StangMode video is one of the best.
This Shelby GT500 is a standout with its Grabber Lime color, contrasting black trim, mirror caps, side sills and other details. The wheels are made of carbon fiber and have a large set of brake rotors behind the spokes. They also have Brembo calipers that clamp on the discs. You will also notice that there is no Ford or Mustang badge except for the Shelby snake emblems.
When a Ford representative opens the hood, things get very cool. It involves removing the hood from the car and pressing the buttons that look like hood pins. StangMode is thrilled to see the strut that keeps it open. This is not a prop.
According to Blue Oval, the hood vents can be used semi-functionally. Owners can open the hood and remove the panel beneath the fins to allow heat to escape the engine bay. The cover can be left in place to prevent rain from entering the engine bay.
Ford won’t reveal the GT500’s supercharged V8 5.2-liter engine, except that it will produce “over 700 horsepower.” The model will have a maximum speed of 180 miles per hour (290 km/h) . This Blue Oval will also limit its top speed to . The muscle machine will be capable at covering the quarter mile in less that 11 seconds.
Ford has not yet set a date to release all details about the GT500, beyond what was available at a vague time this summer. Expect Ford to announce when the muscle car will be available for sale among other facts and figures. It is expected that the date will be sometime in this year.
