Meet our new favorite Pontiac Fiero.
There have been many strange modifications to the Pontiac Fiero mid-engined over the years. But this Feiro tricycle may be the most bizarre. This Nevada Craigslist listing is the best place to find one of our most bizarrely modified cars.
According to the seller, they bought this Fiero tricycle from a local diesel mechanic. This seems like someone who had lots of time. There was enough time to take off the front of a Fiero tri-cycle and graft the suspension from a Harley Davidson Road King Motorcycle.
The current owner has taken great care of this 1985 Fiero, and recently replaced the alternator as well as the battery. Even though the seller tried to repair the air conditioning system, he ran out of money and had to chase a leak in the system.
This three-wheeled marvel is road legal thanks to the 1985 Fiero being listed as an “assembled vehicle” under a license. According to the seller, the Three-wheelaero is “a blast” to drive. We’ll accept their claim, as well as its excellent road manners on the highway.
The seller’s photos suggest that this Fiero is worth approximately $2,500. The exterior bodywork is in good condition, but the panels that are left need to be painted or repaired needs to be done. Despite this, the interior is in a shockingly good state, in part due to the shaggy seats covers included with the sale.
Feiro owners are unable to leave their cars alone for some reason. Owners turn Fiero into Ferrari replicas Ford GT40 race car imposters or even lift them onto 4×4 frames. Nobody wants to own a Fiero stock car. Even the 1985 manual transmission Fiero with its perfect interior was ripped apart for internet fame. So goes the story of GM’s mid-engined sports car.
