It will be quite different from the Nissan Armada.

While the Infiniti QX80 is capable, it is also one of the oldest cars currently on the American new car market. Although it was updated with new technology for the 2022 model-year (see related links below), the QX80 is already showing signs of age and has dated bones. The brand-new QX80 is in development. It will play a far more significant role than simply replacing the predecessor. The new brand’s flagship SUV, the QX80, will bring a new design style to the automaker.

Peyman Kargar (Infiniti Chairman) revealed this information. He was appointed Infiniti’s global brand boss in June 2020. He spoke with Automotive News recently and confirmed that the new QX80 is the beginning of a new era in premium manufacturer. To further distance the model from the Nissan Armada with which it shares its technologies and underpinnings, it will increase the performance specs. Infiniti’s ultimate goal is to make the QX80 a direct competitor for luxury SUVs such as the Lexus LX and Land Rover Range Rover.

The QX80 is the first of many next-generation Infiniti products. This will help to revitalize the brand’s image both visually and in terms quality and performance. The new models will feature a brand new corporate identity, and will debut on the SUV’s flagship model. A new dealer identity for retail stores will accompany this new visual identity. However, it will not be a complete redesign of existing facilities.

Infiniti will be launching its first fully electric vehicle in 2025, the next step in their reboot plan. It will be an ideological successor of the Q50 sedan, but it will have a zero emission powertrain. An EV crossover and a compact coupe/SUV could be released shortly after the electric sedan. Infiniti hopes that the majority of its worldwide sales by 2020 will be powered by electric vehicles.
