These were the fastest times at this years Festival Of Speed, from a Ford van to an EV that is ridiculously fast,
The 2022 Goodwood Festival Of Speed was in a word amazing. Subaru partnered with Travis Pastrana’s 1983 Subaru GL “Family Huckster” to make this year’s event possible. Prodrive also helped to debut their stunning P25 22B Restomod. There was so much to do and see throughout the weekend, not least Sunday’s hill climb competition, which saw some of the most powerful cars in the world descending onto the driveway.
We have already talked a lot about the tiny McMurtry Spirling, which broke the Goodwood Record by nearly a full second with Max Chilton at the wheel. There was also a whole fleet of fast cars that tried to break the Speirling’s records, including a Subaru rally-ready station wagon and a Dodge Viper race car.

There were many powertrains and body styles available to the group, including four electric vehicles and one minivan. The top 10 were dominated by one station wagon. Porsche had two vehicles that made it to the top 10, the 911 GT3 Cup, and the 718 GT4 EPerformance concept. McMurtry Spierling and the Subaru GL Family Huckster, Ford Pro Electric SuperVan, and Subaru GL Family Huckster were all new vehicles designed to tackle this year’s hill climb.
None of the production cars made it into the top ten. The Lucid Air was driven by Ben Collins, the Stig, and recorded a final run in 50.79 seconds. It finished 12th overall.
