The AMG G-Wagen is even more attractive because of its subtle, yet effective styling.
Although the G63 is technically the most expensive G-Class, Mercedes-AMG offers a few options to make it even more affordable. The sinister-looking edition 1 was unveiled a few weeks ago. Now, Affalterbach is showing the optional Night Package for this reputable off-roader in AMG style.
The new kit will not be available for 12 months like the previous special edition. It will serve as an ongoing way to spice up the G63. The package includes a variety of black styling accents, as indicated by the name. However, you will not be able order this pack for cars with black as their main body color. It makes sense, considering that it would be almost impossible to see the upgrades.
Mercedes will apply an Obsidian Black finish to the side mirror caps and outer ring of spare wheel at the rear by ticking the box for the “Night Package”. The side skirts and some of the rear bumpers’ decorative elements will be painted black. The body modifications are completed with tinted rear windows and black underbody protectors.
The standard G63 equipped with the optional Night Package will have 21-inch alloy wheels. However, customers can order a larger 22 inch set.
The visual adjustments mirror the G-Class equipped with the package, which was introduced in January’s second half.
Mercedes has already revealed that the AMG range will be expanding beyond the G63 to include more G-Class innovations. Although it’s too early to know what this means, and whether the V12-powered G65 will make a comeback. However, we wouldn’t be too optimistic. This is due to the fact that the biturbo-powered 6.0-liter engine will continue to be used in Maybach models. The new G may not get it. There might be a Maybach-branded G in the future, just like the absurd G650 Landaulet, which was unveiled almost a year ago in Geneva.
