Drako Motors Teases 2,000 HP Electric Dragon SUV with Gullwing Doors

Soon, reservations will be open.

Drako Motors has unveiled a preview of a new model in its lineup, a super-SUV with high power. Before the official reveal, Drako Motors has released teaser photos of its new model. They highlight unique features of the design. Drako also gives a few details about the powertrain. It will produce 2,000 horsepower (1.491 kilowatts).

Drako’s Drako DriveOS car architecture gives the new Drako Dragon SUV much more control over its performance. Drako’s DriveOS Quad Motor Powertrain will be featured in the new SUV. The SUV can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) with the four-motor configuration. It also has a claimed acceleration time of 1.9 seconds. This is comparable to the Tesla Model S Plaid.

According to the all-electric powertrain, the car will reach speeds of more than 200 mph (321 km/h), and will cover the quarter-mile in just 9.0 seconds. These are remarkable numbers for an SUV, but they are not unusual for electric vehicles. Drako can also give the SUV a 3-stage suspension.

Although we only have teaser photos, it appears that the model is influenced by the Drako GTE. The SUV’s styling is obscured by shadows. However, we can still see the lighting elements front, rear, and a portion the front bumper. We also see the flying buttresses at its back. Its gullwing doors are one of the most distinctive features. Carbon fiber is also used extensively by the company.

Drako has not released any teaser images, but he says it will be finished in fine leather. Drako says it will seat five people and that EV powertrains allow for design and package freedoms. This sounds very exciting.

According to Drako, the new Drako SUV will “conquer the automotive world later in the year.” Reservations are now open. The Drako GTE was priced at $1.25million, but the new Dragon will be more affordable than other luxury SUVs. It will likely compete with the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga as well as other expensive performance SUVs.
