This Jaguar X-Type is a unique option if you are looking for something to bring to track days. This machine was intended to compete in the SCV8 Supercar Championship in Britain, but it never happened, making this car an orphan.
The SCV8 Supercar Championship cars shared a unique spaceframe chassis with a 3.2-liter Nicholson McLaren engine producing 550 horsepower. They would have looked like production cars, with plans for the future. Jaguar X-Type and Peugeot 407, as well as Vauxhall Vectra . The 3.2-liter engine is not included in this one. The seller offers it as either a rolling chassis, or with a Lotus V8. The sale includes original drawings, paperwork, and spare components.
Alan Strachan, the seller, said that the car is a “fantastic car”, which was superbly constructed and specified with only the finest parts. It’s significant because it was the last Rouse Hall car built before he closed his workshop. It can be offered as-is or race ready. It would make a great car for Thundersaloons, as well as Jaguar collectors.

The Jaguar X-Type, if you haven’t already, was the brand’s attempt to move downmarket by creating a sedan that could compete against premium German sedans like the BMW 3 Series or the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Jag was able to share a platform with the Ford Mondeo, which had primarily rear-wheel-drive competitors.
Although the X-Type was equipped with all-wheel drive, current reviewers have criticized it for its close relationship with Ford rather than being an authentic Jaguar. There was no performance version so the most powerful model only had 228 horsepower (170kilowatts) and was powered by a 3.0-liter V6.
