Honda Civic joins Sonic the Hedgehog at Comic-Con

Honda Civic joins Sonic the Hedgehog at Comic-ConCelebrate the 25th anniversary of an iconic videogame with Special Edition Civic

Although I don’t consider myself a gamer, every of my generation remembers the classic Sega game Sonic the Hedgehog. This year marks the 25th anniversary of our blue hero. Honda will unveil a special Civic Sedan with an Sonic-themed wrap at Comic-Con San Diego. Sonic is cooler than PokemonGo.

The Civic Touring Sedan started out as a regular Civic Touring Sedan. Fox Marketing Cars in York, Pennsylvania customized it and added a variety of upgrades. Fox then added wheels to match Sonic’s red shoes, the game’s famous gold rings and a black grille. A yellow Honda badge was also added. Honda claims the showcar features special seats with Katzkin leather and special Sonic the Hedgehog logos. We don’t have interior photos. Gamers rejoice! The trunk includes a Rockford Fosgate audio/visual system with two subwoofers that are 10-inch in size and two amplifiers that are 400-watt each. There is also a 32-inch flip-up television on the floor for gaming.

This car is not for sale, but it’s still a great way for Comic-Con attendees to play Sonic the Hedgehog at the game’s 25th anniversary event at San Diego’s House of Blues. In the meantime I will be looking on Craigslist for Sega Genesis consoles that are still available.
