You can check out the WT and LTZ Trail Bosss as well as ZR2.
Later this year, the Chevrolet Silverado will get a makeover. These spy shots capture several trim levels in testing to give you a peek at what’s new.
The WT is the lowest specification. It has a single body with a long bed and a single cab. The WT also features basic halogen headlights, and a smaller grille that other grades. The truck rides on 255/70R17 tires, according to our spies.
These photos show the LTZ grade with mesh camouflage at its front which exposes the new grille. The lower half of the body appears to have a revised trim. The truck rides on chrome-finished wheels and five sets of triple spokes.
The Trail Bosss is a rugged, mildly rugged Silverado. Our spy reports that the Trail Boss has a 2-leaf-spring rear suspension, whereas the ZR2 has four leafsprings on each side. The model still comes with Rancho shocks and Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires.
The Trail Boss’ ZR2 is the latest addition to the range. The truck rides on Goodyear Wrangler Territory MMT tires and has a front skid plate. Rumours suggest that the truck is equipped with Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions Valve (DSSV), dampers, and locking differentials on both axles.
While the prototype is identical to previous ZR2 test trucks it features taller Goodyear Wrangler Territory MMT tires and a stronger four-leaf spring setup. The ZR2’s Multimatic shocks are hidden behind wheel camo.
Silverado and GMC Sierra will now be compatible with the most recent version of GM’s Supercruise advanced driver assistance system. The tech can now be used while towing a load.
Chevy has already confirmed that the ZR2 will be available in the fall. If the brand wishes to debut the most rugged version at an event, the new trims will arrive in the same timeframe or a bit earlier.
