Toyota relies on the TGNA platform’s versatility to support a variety of vehicles.

The Fun concept is Toyota’s latest creation. This sedan is very similar to the 2018 Camry. It also serves as an opportunity to showcase the flexibility of the Toyota New Global Architecture modular platform.

The company does not provide any details on the Fun concept, other than the use of the TGNA chassis. This design is basically a more refined version of the Camry’s next-gen model. The front features a sharply slanted LED headlight. These pointed driving lights look similar to the horizontal pieces found in the Mirai fascia.

The Camry’s profile is very similar to the new Camry. The new Toyota sedan’s designers have altered the windshield’s rake by lowering its roof. For an added style, they also remove the handles from the doors. The fenders are sculpted more strongly at the back. Camry’s ultra-skinny LED taillights make a striking evolution of existing parts.

Toyota’s future global range is built on the TGNA platform. It should be used by half of Toyota’s worldwide products by 2020. The architecture is used in models such as the Prius and CHR. It will also be available in the next Corolla.

Toyota is serious enough to announce a $1.3Billion investment in its Kentucky plant to support the platform. While the Camry will be built on the chassis, the site will make improvements that could allow for additional TGNA-underpinned models from the Kentucky plant.

This summer , the 2018 Camry will be on sale in the United States. Even the base models of this popular sedan have a sporty look. You can choose between a 3.5-liter V6, 2.5 liter four-cylinder, and a modified a hybrid. There are a variety of active safety systems that include active cruise control, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection and lane departure alert.
