You can get the unique finish for an additional $2,120 (EUR 1,850).

Since the beginning of time, matt finishes have been a staple in the aftermarket community. You’ve probably seen them on vehicles ranging from a Honda up to a Lamborghini. BMW was the first manufacturer to offer this finish from the factory in 2013 with the Frozen M3. Toyota now has the C-HR and 86 sports cars.

CHR customers in Europe have the exclusive opportunity to choose from four different matte finishes as part of their “Style Selection” equipment line. These colors are Metalstream Gray Metallic (Titanium Blue Metallic), Nova White Metallic, Marlingrau Metallic and Nova White Metallic. You can get all of the above colors in two different matte finishes for as low as $2,122 (EUR1,850), on top of the MSRP.

The body is separate from the body. A and C pillars and side mirrors, roof and rear spoiler are standard with an accenting, onyx-black contrast lacquer. For an additional $160 (EUR140), you can get a contrasting matte finish for all those body panels.

The 86, also known as GT86 in Europe, is available in six different matte finishes: Bold Black Matte (or Bold Black Matte), Metal Gray Matte (or Ice Silver Matte), Frosted Blue Matte and Frosted Blue Matte. The coupe’s finish is slightly more expensive than that of the SUV, at $2168 (EUR1,890). For an additional $137 (EUR120), the rear spoiler can also be finished in the same colour.

At the moment, the custom finish is limited to European buyers. However, the C-HR is available for as low as $23,460 in the U.S. while the Toyota 86 sports car costs $26,255.
