The rendering, pictured here, can give you an idea of what the production version might look like. The Urus looks great in production sheet metal, combining cues from its original concept with recent spy photos.

An angular grille will highlight the front fascia, with a sharp nose that is similar to Aventador and Huracan. The lower grille will have two angular vents, a lower central vent and an aggressive lower portion. This aids in engine cooling and airflow management.

The Urus’ rear will have a set LED taillights and quad exhaust tips. A short rear window will also be featured. And, of course, a backup cam will undoubtedly be standard. The Urus will look sporty with big wheels and a low center-of-gravity, but it promises to be even more spectacular than the original concept.

What’s under the Hood?

We already know that the Lamborghini Urus will be equipped with a 4.0-liter biturbo engine that produces as much as 650 horsepower (484kW). This could make it the fastest SUV on the Nurburgring… but Lamborghini doesn’t care. However, different powertrains can increase the horsepower and range even more, making it more competitive with rivals like Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

The plug-in hybrid model will join the lineup in 2019, approximately one year after the debut of the standard gas version. The Urus should be in the same area as rivals such as the Porsche Cayenne S E–Hybrid, which could have as much as 671 horsepower (500 kW) borrowed form the Panamera.
