The Superleggera will have the Italian flag stripes along the sides and the stitching on its interior carbon fiber finish to match it. Superleggera can shed approximately 70kg and has a power increase of 10 horsepower.
Jon Sibal has created this rendering of the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4. Teamspeed.com has informed us that the rendering is based upon reliable information about the Superleggera’s appearance once it debuts at the Geneva auto show in February.
Superleggera will lose about 70kg over the standard version (if Lamborghini can use the term “standard” when referring to a Lamborghini), and it will have a modest 10 horsepower increase in power. The 70 kilos that are missing will most likely be reflected in the performance figures. The Superleggera will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. It will also have a power-to-weight ratio of 2.35. The transmission will use the same gearbox as the LP560.
The Superleggera’s distinctive feature will be the Italian flag-colored stripes that are placed on the car’s side, as shown in this image. It will be available in six colors: Yellow, Black, Grey and Orange. The interior will be carbon fiber finished and have matching stitching to the Superleggeras’ Green, Yellow, and Orange. Grey stitching will be used for the White, Grey, and Black models.
