AutoBild claims that the Honda/Acura NSX may be revived in 2011 according to AutoBild. According to AutoBild, a road-ready version is being built of the HSV-010 GT racecar in Germany in order to compete with the Lexus LFA.
Honda officially canceled a new version of its supercar during the height of the financial crisis. The company then announced that it would discontinue many of its niche-market models and instead create vehicles that can be mass produced and are widely accepted around the world.
According to the magazine, the production NSX will come with a 5.0-liter V8 motor. The production model would be narrower than the race model and have a less defined rear spoiler.
The Honda HSV-010 GT is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 engine that produces 493 horsepower (568 PS, 368 kW) Two race cars crashed out at Japan’s Suzuka Circuit earlier this month.
