TZ3 Corsa is equipped with a 4.2 liter V8 that produces 420 hp (313 kW), and was commissioned to be driven by Martin Kapp, Zagato collector.
Italian coach builder Zagato unveiled the new TZ3 Corsa during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, which took place in Cernobbio (Italy) this weekend.
The TZ3 Corsa, a race car that celebrates the 90-year partnership between Zagato Automobiles and Alfa Romeo is a tribute to this collaboration. Martin Kapp, a German Alfa Romeo Zagato collector, commissioned the model while attending an event to honor Zagato – The Zandvoort Tribute.
We have previously reported the details of the undercarriage, a monoshell tubular chassis made from carbon fiber. However, we now have complete details about the car.
The TZ3 Corsa supercar is a rear-wheel-drive, two-seater car with a mid-front-mounted engine. The lightweight aluminum body weighs only 850kg (1874 lbs), making it a true racer. The engine is a 4.2-liter V8 that produces 420 PS (309kW/ 414bhp). It can be calibrated manually. A 6-speed sequential gearbox is included with the car.
The TZ3 Corsa rides on 18-inch wheels with 245/645/R18 Pirelli PZero tires at its front and 285/645/R18 rear. It can do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint within 3.5 seconds. It can also reach a top speed exceeding 300 km/h.
The press release contains more information about Alfa Romeo Zagato’s racing history.
