What does this mean? The vehicle is attached to the back of the RV and then towed by its wheels. You don’t need a large trailer, and you won’t have to pay extra for licenses or certifications to pull one. If you don’t take the necessary steps before it happens, serious damage can be done to vehicle’s driveline and transmission parts. This process is almost identical to the Jeep Wrangler which can be flat-towed with the transfer case in neutral. This is an obvious move by Ford to target Wrangler directly with the Bronco. Also, making it an appealing option for RV travellers is another attempt at Jeep’s market share.

Ford will likely provide a complete procedure for flat-towing the Bronco when it reaches customers next year. This can be found in the SUV’s manual.
