Alpha Motors, a new company, is aiming to enter the growing EV market. The Ace was a retro-looking coupe that the company unveiled late last year. This was only the beginning of the product rollout. Today, the company introduced a third model. The Wolf Plus is an all-electric pickup with seats and doors that offers more versatility than the standard two-door Wolf. It was revealed by the company last month.
It still measures 203 inches (5.150 millimeters), and has a truck bed of 5.4 feet (1.652 mm). There is seating for four. According to the company, the pickup can travel 250-275 miles (402-437 km) with either a single-motor rear wheel-drive or a dual motor four-wheel drive setup. The pickup can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.9 seconds. This isn’t a great speed for an electric vehicle, but it’s fast enough for daily driving. It can tow 6,724 pounds (3,050-kilograms) of weight.
The truck’s exterior styling is minimalistic, both inside and outside. The simple lines of the trunk aren’t too slick. It has a rugged look thanks to its large fender flares, big tires, and chunky tires. However, the truck still maintains the retro-oriented brand theme. Two screens are located on the dash for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment screen. The interior is minimalistic. Only the steering wheel has any visible switchgear.
Alpha does not provide details about the accessories of the truck, but photos show a large tent covering the truck bed and stretching out behind the pickup truck. Although the company is accepting reservations for the Wolf Plus, Wolf and other vehicles it offers, there’s no indication when they will be in production. Alpha Motors is targeting a starting price of $40,000 to $48,000, which is significantly higher than the $36,000 regular Wolf.
