It is a shame that the sports car is only available in Japan.
The Honda S660 is a tempting piece of forbidden fruit. This small, mid-engined roadster is very appealing, although it’s only available in Japan. The tuner Mugen has new components to make your tiny sports car even more desirable.
These pieces include a new front fascia that has a more aggressive look and a splitter at the bottom. The car looks more aggressive, but it’s not too extravagant. Optional LED fog lights or aero illumination can be added to the car to make it shine a little brighter at night.
The body is adorned with side sills. The inlet is located in the rear fender. However, it does not appear to be used for cooling the brakes.
Mugen also makes a replacement bumper for the factory rear bumper. The creases are sharper than those of the stock bumper. The bottom edge has a diffuser.
A set of eight narrow spokes in dark gray are available as an additional feature. They are 15 inches wide at the front and 16 inches back.
Mugen allows buyers to make their vehicle more rigid by adding a chassis damper. According to Mugen, the part “eliminates undesirable vibrations and noises, as well as improving steering stability.”
Honda refreshed the S660 with subtle styling changes and new A-pillars. Active Green Pearl and Alabaster Silver Metallic were also added to the company’s paint palette. The roadster was equipped with heated seats, Alcantara upholstery and a gearshift and steering wheel.
The S660 conforms to Japan’s Kei car class. This restricts the engine’s size to 660cc, and a power output of 63 horsepower (47 megawatts). The turbocharged three-cylinder engine provides the power for this little roadster. The buyer can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT with paddle shifters.
