Learn what we think about the GTM body kit for Porsche 911 Turbo. Here’s the story.
Misha Design, a tuning company based in Los Angeles, has created a new GTM aerokit for the Porsche 997 Turbo. Although some parts of the kit are desirable, the overall package makes the otherwise elegant Porsche 997 Turbo look like an insect.
The car’s stock hood is now replaced by a rectangular, raised version with a central area. It might look great on an American muscle car but it looks strange on the 997. The optional carbon fiber blades that extend from the hood look almost like antennae, while the front bumper fascia looks similar to the TechArt 911 Turbo GTStreet.
Although it looks ugly, the carbon fiber diffusers and venturi gills that are integrated into the rear bumper work. These parts not only reduce weight but also increase the down force at the rear. The new rear wing also works with the OEM function of the car and adjusts to vehicle speed.
The functional benefits of the rear bumper, hood vanes and front lower lip are not enough to ruin the car’s appearance. We are just expressing our opinions. What’s yours?
