Although it’s not AgeraRS fast, the luxobarge weighs almost 2,000 more.

Auto Bild magazine organized a few acceleration testing at an event in Papenburg Germany, where the Mercedes-AMG S65 Sedan was present. The “Rocket 900”, a Brabus vehicle, was not just any S65. The full-size luxury sedan was able to demonstrate its incredible acceleration abilities, reaching speeds of 340.4 kph (2211.5 mph), in just 3 kilometers (1.86 mile).

It might not be as impressive as the ultra-lightweight hypercars but the S65 sedan is big and heavy. How heavy is it? Brabus claims that the car was tested by Auto Bild and weighed in at 2.3 tons (4.600 pounds). This makes it 905 kg (1.995 lbs) more heavy than the Koenigsegg RS that has been the talk of the town for the past few days.

It is also worth noting that the S65, like the Agera, is a rear-wheel drive car. In Auto Bild’s test, it came in third place after a few Porsche 911 Turbos. However, those cars had AWD and were considerably lighter at 1.6 tons (3.200 lbs).

The S65-based Rocket 900, Brabus is a car that has been in production since 2015. It is powered by a enlarged biturbo 6.3 liter V12 engine that produces 900 horsepower (662 kilowatts). It can produce a staggering 1,106 pound-feet (1.500 Newton-meters of torque), but there is a limiter at 884 lbf (1.200 Nm) to ensure it remains reliable over the long-term.

According to the specs sheet, sprinting to 62 mph (100 km/h) takes 3.7 seconds. The run from a stop to 124mph (200 km/h) takes 9.1 seconds. Maximum speed? Above 217 mph (350 km/h). The car can be seen reaching 215 mph (347 km/h), and it was likely to have been able go even faster without breaking a sweat. You can see the fuel gauge to see that this kind of performance comes with a price.
