How does the V60 compare to the V90, which is larger and more luxurious?
The all-new Volvo V60 has arrived, and it is beautiful. The V60 retains the same sleek styling as the rest of its lineup. It will eventually produce a high-riding Cross Country model, as well as an improved S60 sedan. Both should share many of these components. The question is: How much wagon do you need when looking for the most luxurious Swedish cars?
The V60 is now joined by the V90. Although the wagons are nearly identical, there is enough difference between them to make buyers choose one of the two. To find the right wagon for you, take a closer look at the V60 and V90.
Front
It’s difficult to see the differences between these handsome wagons at first glance. The designs are very similar as one would expect. However, closer inspection will reveal some differences between the sporty wagons.
The V60’s grille is slightly longer than the V90’s, but slightly higher. The V90’s chrome finish is more subtle than the V60’s. The V90 vent extends across the entire front bumper while the V60 extends it just as far as the grille. It is highlighted by larger vents and does not have the fog lights of the V90 (at least in Momentum trim). Unique headlights are also available on the V60. The accent of “Hammer of Thor”, which is more prominent in the smaller wagon, extends out to a point beyond its standard headlight shape.
Profil
The side profile of the wagons will make it difficult to distinguish them. The V90 has a more distinctive shape than the V60, which is why the V90 was larger. Both look stunning, though the V60 is more striking with sharper wheels and a lower ride height. The V60 also has a shorter front and rear overhang. The V60 has a more upright design while the V90 is more focused on a sleeker look. The two are almost identical, except for that.
The V60’s length is nearly seven inches shorter than that of the V90. It measures 187.4 inches (476.9 centimeters) compared to the V90’s 194.3 inches (4993.6 centimeters). The V60’s wheelbase has been reduced by only 3.9 inches (9.9 cm) in total. The V90’s width is 74.4 inches (189.0 centimeters), which is also wider than the V60’s 72.8 inches (185.0 centimeters).
Rear
Its most distinctive feature is the rear of its V60. Although the V90’s overall shape is the same, the V60 has quad exhaust tips and unique taillight fixtures that give it a more sculptured appearance. The trunklid also has red reflectors that enhance the overall design. The V60’s rear window appears slightly smaller than its V90 sibling, due to its size.
Interior
The V90’s interior and V60’s inside are stunning. The V90 has a unique two-tone plaid design and leather leather finish. The V90 uses a traditional leather and wood combination. You can get leather on V60, but why would that be?
The V90 is considerably longer than the V60, but it’s still not as spacious as the V60. The V60 has 40.1 inches (102.0 cm) of interior headroom, while the V90 only 40.4 inches (102.6 cm). The same applies to leg room. The V60 has 42.3 inches (107.4 cms) of front leg space, while the V90 has only 42.1 inches (107.1 cmimeters).
