If you live in the UK, you can order the new gin online now.
James May isn’t running a farm or opening his own shop for classic cars restoration. But he has done more than anything since The Grand Tour was last broadcast. Captain Slow did make an investment in a pub during the coronavirus pandemic. He plans to distill gin for his pub patrons. You can now buy your own bottle of it since he has an unending supply.
May presented his new gin in the most James May manner possible. He did a 10-minute video explaining how gin was made. This leads him to distilling his first batch. This is a fascinating look into a topic that many of us may not be familiar with. The new Asian Parsnips Gin, which May has introduced, contains parsnips, lemon peel and lime along with juniper.
After selecting the botanicals for his distillation process, May begins the distilling process. Within four hours, May is able to taste his first gin. It’s actually quite good – May wouldn’t sell it if it wasn’t. May has not yet revealed the content of two additional videos in the series. We expect them to be very informative about the gin-making process.
May originally intended to distill 1,000 liters. However, the math wasn’t fair with the actual 700 millimeters of Gin bottle. He instead planned to make 1,420 bottles of his Asian Parsnip Gin, each one signed and numbered. However, there was so much enthusiasm, that he now has a second batch of unlimited supply. A bottle of the limited edition is now cheaper than before, at PS39 (53.71 at current exchange rate). Although it’s not signed or numbered, this bottle is unique. It is currently only available in the UK. However, he could ship it internationally to those who are interested.
