New colors are available for the Charger and Challenger in vintage-inspired colours.

The Dodge Challenger, Charger reports often concentrate on the top-of-the-line SRT trims. However, the brand offers a few new options to make the less expensive versions of the models more interesting. The Shakedown Package features aggressive accents and separately, the company revives two of its most popular colors. Order the Shakedown Package now to get your first delivery within a few months.

The only exterior modification to the Shakedown Package is the addition of a series of thinner, more symmetrical black stripes that runs across the body. Dodge claims that the design is based on the 1971 Dodge Shakedown Challenger Concept from the 2016 SEMA Show. These dark lines lend the muscle car a retro look that is in keeping with its overall aesthetic. The Alpine stereo system and white gauge faces are available inside. The R/T Shaker’s upgraded audio features six speakers and an amplifier of 275 watts. It also includes nine speakers with a 506 watt amp on the R/T Shaker Plus, and the 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker. The Challenger’s Shakedown Package costs $995 more.

B5 Blue and Plum Crazy are now available on all Charger models. The T/A, Plus and T/A 392 Challengers also have the colors – more trims will get them later. These vibrant colors were first introduced by Dodge during the muscle car boom, and they have been revived by the company for modern versions.

These colors are part Dodge’s High Impact Paint range, which also includes Top Banana and Sassy Grass. B5 Blue is named after the original paint code that identifies the company’s vivid cobalt shade. Plum Crazy is a wild purple shade that has an obvious meaning. Indigo was first introduced by Dodge in 1970.
