2021 Kia Sorento Channels National Parks with Yosemite and Zion Concepts

Kia equips the new Sorento to go into the mountains or desert.

Automakers continue to flood us with custom models, even though there is no SEMA show this year. Kia shows two rugged concepts based upon the Sorento X-Line. It names Yosemite after two of America’s most beautiful national parks.

Kia describes the Sorento Yosemite Edition to be for mountain exploration. The body is a Pine Green with a matte finish and the trim is a mix between matte and gloss. A roof rack is available for transporting gear and a light bar illuminates the way.

The Kia Sorento Zion Edition celebrates desert living. The exterior accents are gloss black and the body is in Desert Sand. The vehicle’s cargo box can be expanded to carry more gear, but it won’t get sanded.

Both Sorentos are custom-made and have 20-inch wheels with 32 inch all-terrain tires. The body is protected by custom skid plates as well as brush guards.

Kia acknowledges that not all owners will modify their Sorento this way, but some might. These people will be pleased to know that the company offers accessories such as roof rack crossbars and trailer hitches.
