Although the Buran was oddly shaped, it looked like a cross between a sedan and hatchback. The electric-operated sliding doors allowed access to the luxurious cabin. There was also a minivan characteristic: the high-mounted gear shifter on the center console.

The Buran, which measured nearly five meters (196.8 in) long and almost two meters (78 in) wide, was 1.63 meters (64.1 inch) high. The wheelbase was generously 2.93 meters (115.3 in), creating an interior space for both the driver and passengers.
