Unnamed insiders inform the Fast Lane Car that the highly anticipated Ford Bronco will make its public debut at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show, which runs from June 7 through 20. According to the Blue Oval, the SUV will be unveiled in the spring. This is consistent with the TFL rumor that the season ends June 20.
We believe that Ford has already released teasers about the Bronco. However, it is not yet clear when the unveiling will take place. The model’s first glimpses show modified Ranger pickups. These are because they share the same underpinnings.
Bronco R is an off-road racer that gives you a great idea of the final model. The original SUV’s boxy shape is echoed here. Images of the headlights have been leaked and suggest that the model is retro-modern.
The Bronco will likely be available with a 2.3-liter turbocharged four cylinder and a 10-speed auto at launch. An hybrid option may be available later. A Raptor-like model with performance-oriented features should also be available.
The basic Bronco should still be fun. Owners would be able, like the Jeep Wrangler to take off the doors or even the entire roof. Or at the very least remove panels. Ford’s promotional video shows that engineers are working hard to ensure the SUV is safe off-road.
The Bronco will be in showrooms by the end of this year. Prices will start at low to mid $30,000, but many accessories would be to make that price even higher.
