Glickenhaus Releases a New Teaser for Retro-Themed Sports Car

There is a lot of Chevrolet Corvette and classic Ferrari influence.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus posted a sketch and a rendering on Facebook today showing a new project that is apparently in the works. It has the number 006 and a coupe version. It looks very much like a classic Ferrari 250 with some Corvette and even some Shelby Cobra sidepipes.

This is a marked departure from the previous Glickenhaus designs. The most notable of these would be SC003. It did make it to the Nürnbergring to record a blistering 6 minutes 33 lap time. However, the car was not street legal and was dressed in race trim. Although the automaker was scheduled to unveil its first road car at Monterey last year, we haven’t heard much about it since.

The new rendering will be different from the one most people know. Keen observers will notice three numerical differences. SCG004, a three-seater road-going sport car, also features shades of Ferrari. Yes, there is also a race version. SGC005 is The Boot, which the company hopes to use as an amphibious add on. SCG has a lot of ambitions and teasers. However, the only thing we have seen so far is its SCG003.

We hope that this teaser will be more than the sketches and renderings we have seen. Although the chrome side pipes look a little too extravagant, we were struck by the large headlights and curvaceous front fenders. SCG006 looks great as a touring dynamo.
