Although the photos were taken from a distance you can clearly see that the car is a production-ready version of the VED Concept , which was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car’s extreme styling is still present, but the hood has been modified and doors have been changed.
The VED is powered by a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine, and two electric motors. They produce 262kW (356hp), 800 Nm (590lb-ft) of torque. The plug-in hybrid configuration allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed at 250 km/h (155mph). It also returns 3.76 L/100 km (63 MPG US).
Although this vehicle is likely to be another concept, the production model will be launched in 2013 at a base price of PS150,000 (USD231,985/EUR173,725).
