According to the latest reports, the Ford Focus RS will debut in 2015 with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine of 2.3-liter capacity producing 335 HP (246 kW).
The EcoBoost engine features a turbocharger with direct injection. However, at one time the Blue Oval company considered an all-wheel drive system.
The engine will likely make its way under the hood the new Mustang (both Euro and U.S-spec models). There will likely be output differences between Mustang and Focus RS. Both regions will get a stronger V8 engine, with the latter receiving a larger displacement.
According to AutoBild.de the next-gen Focus RS is expected to cost approximately 40,000 EUR in Europe.
