The Volkswagen Golf is the fastest and most powerful variant. However, we all know that the Golf R costs a little more for its added performance. If you want a compact, fast German car that is affordable without spending a lot of money, then you will only need to know two letters: G & T.

Three performance variants are located below the Golf R: the GTI (GTE), and the GTD. Which of these three performance variants is faster? YouTube’s Automann-TV It got all three and performed an acceleration comparison on Autobahn.

The Golf GTD. The GTD, despite being powered by a diesel engine completed the notch from 62 in 7.7 seconds and the 62-128 sprint in 20.6 seconds. It is quick enough for a compact diesel engine that produces 197 horsepower (147 Kilowatts) as well as 295 pound-feet (405 Newton-meters) of torque.

The Golf GTE was able to produce 241 horsepower (180 kW) with the help of an electric motor. It can reach 62 in just 6.5 seconds, while the 62-128 run took 18 seconds.
