Another mind-blowing hypercar is on the horizon. The Alieno Arcanum is an all-electric, two-door, two seat “robotic” hypercar that hails from Bulgaria. It boasts “alien technologies of the future” and claims to be the first.
First, we must admit that the credibility of the company originating from the small Balkan nation is not confirmed at this time. We cannot therefore be certain that the whole thing isn’t just vaporware. The brand was founded in 2015. Its name derives from the Italian word for “alieno”, which obviously means alien. This is all that we know so far.
The company’s first ever model will be available in four versions based on its power. The base model is 2,610 horsepower (1.946 kilowatts), followed closely by 3,482-hp (2.596-kW), 4,351 (3.244-kW) and the flagship 5,221 hp (3.893-kW). Although acceleration times aren’t yet available, Alieno claims that the range-topper can reach a maximum speed at 303 miles an hour (488 km per hour). It seems that the Devel Sixteen specs are now more plausible.
Three basic versions will be available for each version: STR (Street), TRC(Track) and RCE (Race). All specifications and basic dynamics are identical, with the only difference being the homologations and standards they comply. Alieno claims it can even prepare an example to comply with the LMP1 category of 24 Hours of Le Mans. Once the rules allow for battery-powered all electric cars, Alieno said.

There’s more! Alieno calls the powertrain for the hypercar a “direct drive electrical powertrain”, which, depending on the model, can have up to six electric motors. Each wheel. This means that the RP5 top-of-the-line model with 5,221 horsepower has a system of 24 electric motors, each one independently controlled. These AC three-phase axial flux motors have permanent magnets.
Alieno claims that the torque of both the powertrain and the wheels is identical at 6,490 pound feet (8,800 Newton-meters), 5,458 pounds (7,400 Nm), 5,366 pounds (5,920 Nm), 4,366 pounds (5,920 Nm), 3,275 pounds (4,440 Nm), respectively. The powertrain is powered by a battery that includes graphene LiPo and supercapacitors. It has a range of 60-kWh to 180-kWh in capacity, while the largest package can provide 634 miles (1.020 km) on one charge.
Chief test pilot Ivan Kirov boldly declares that “our debut model Alieno Arcanum, is certainly the most powerful hypercar the world has ever seen.” It is not only the most powerful car on earth, but it’s also all-electric and robotic. It is therefore much more efficient than a comparable power, conventional combustion engine car. We have integrated innovative Alieno technologies and high-efficiency electric motors into the car to achieve this.
The Arcanum rides on “robotic suspension” with double wishbone and pushrod, rocker arm, and adjustable anti-roll bar, combined with electronically-adjustable dampers and active ride-height, fully independent per each wheel. There are three types of brake power available: a traditional hydraulic system with a regenerative electromagnetic system and one that is “robotic”. An air brake parachute is also an option.
Alieno claims it will only manufacture the Arcanum in Bulgaria if customers place pre-orders. The order books are open and prices start at EUR750,000 for the base model, which is approximately $878,000 at current exchange rates. Prices for the flagship RP5 range from EUR1.5 million ($1.755 Million) to EUR1.5million ($1.755 Million). Depending on the options and preferences of the customer, delivery times can vary between 18 and 30 months.
