The anniversary editions will be marked with unique badges, stitching and treadplates.
The British luxury marque announced that every Bentley built by 2019 will receive special centenary features.
Bentley claims that the 2019 cars will be marked with seat embroidery, centenary badging and treadplates, which will make them “true collector’s items.”
The Bentley traditional badge will now be marked with the celebratory words ‘1919-2019’ in Centenary Gold. The new badge will appear on the bonnet and boot, as well as the wheel centre caps and steering wheel. It will also be used for the gear lever.
Bentleys next year will feature a special centenary welcome lamp, and the upholstery will have Centenary Gold stitching.
Centenary Gold, a metallic color inspired by vintage Bentleys such as the 1929 “Birkin” Blower is designed to “honour” the company’s rich history.
Every vehicle that leaves the Bentley production line at Crewe, Cheshire between January 2019 and December 2019 will receive these subtle touches.
This will be 100 years since W.O. Although Bentley founded the company, it took two more years for the engineer and the car’s first production owner to arrive. Noel van der Raalte spent PS1,050 to purchase his car, which featured Bentley’s iconic radiator grille as well as the Flying B insignia.
The company has been a household name since then. It was James Bond’s preferred mode for transport in Ian Fleming’s original books, long before Aston Martin became involved with the films. The firm was also a success in motor racing with the Bentley Boys, who won five Le Mans victories in the early 20 Century.
