Although the interior is more beautiful than many houses, it’s still affordable enough to purchase a home.

The hottest trend in offroading is the overlanding. These vehicles can be used to transport people into the wilderness, and all the gear needed for a camping trip in remote areas. Earthroamer’s rugged Ford F550-based XV–LTS is a well-known name in this industry. Now, the company has added luxury with the XV–HD, which is larger, more durable, and more luxurious.

New model uses the Ford F-750 chassis for its foundation. The engine is a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 that produces 246 kilowatts of power and 725 pound-feet (983 Newton meters) of torque. A six-speed automatic drives the output, while a four-wheel drive system adds extra traction to prevent getting stuck in the middle. Earthroamer can also fit rugged equipment such as 46-inch Michelin XZL tire and a rear suspension with Fox shocks and hydraulic leveling. A 30,000-pound winch can be added to the front of the XVHD if things get really bad. After the owners have brought the rugged machine to their campsite, there are six places for people to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of nature.

Each XV-HD is built by Earthroamer to order. Buyers can also modify the floor plan. The standard amenities include radiant floor heating, full kitchen, washer/dryer, shower, and a full kitchen. Bose Surround Sound allows campers to enjoy their favorite media outdoors. The gallery shows that Earthroamer uses high quality finishes such as dark wood cabinets, stone countertops and stainless steel appliances. It seems like a comfortable place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of civilization.
