2020 Porsche 911 GT3 Revealed With Same Large Rear Wing

2020 Porsche 911 GT3 Revealed With Same Large Rear WingIt could take over a year for a debut to be made.

It is difficult to keep up with Porsche’s development cycles. The new Porsche spy images of the 911, 718 and 718 seem like they are coming out every day. Porsche has several 911 models in different stages of development or refresh. The 911 GT3 Touring Package was introduced just one year ago and recently seen in prototype form. It’s possible that this prototype is an early prototype, with the official unveiling several months away. However, it’s unlikely it will debut before the end next year.

We are patiently waiting for the reveal, but we have spy photos showing several improvements over the previous model. New air intakes are found at the front. The back features massive hips and a huge rear wing. This appears to be new. It is quite different from the 991.2 model. It appears to have thicker end plates. The rear of the vehicle also has a full-width, LED strip.

Rumours persist that the 911 GT3 will still feature a naturally-aspirated powertrain. This is likely to be an updated version the 4.0-liter engine of the 911.2 GT3. Porsche will offer both a PDK (manual gearbox) and a PDK (pedal-shifting kit).

Details about the interior of the car are still unknown. The 911 Carrera’s new 991 prototypes show it getting a partially digital dashboard. This is an analog central tachometer with digital screens. The GT3 will be released shortly after the new 911 debuts. It should also have a similar dashboard layout.

The new GT3 is still several months away, so we will likely see a lot of spy photos and videos before we have any concrete information on price, performance, or the powertrain. As this is an early stage in the development cycle, rumors will be wild and we will speculate about what Porsche has in mind. We hope the reveal will come sooner than expected.
