2019 Mitsubishi L200/Triton Officially Represented With Bold Design

For those times when it gets difficult, there is a new offroad mode.

The Mitsubishi light commercial vehicle is 40 years old. It has seen five generations of development, including some Chrysler and Dodge versions. It was first launched in 2014. The current model is getting a mid-cycle refresh in order to stay competitive in the highly competitive one-ton pickup trucks segment.

This is not your average facelift, as you can see from the official images. The L200/Triton will be getting a radical facelift thanks to the radically designed Mitsu concepts that we have seen in recent years. Although it reminds us of the Eclipse Cross front fascia, we think it fits the crossover better.

Revisions extend beyond the new look. The pickup truck features extended wheel flares that have been redesigned – something we rarely see on a facelifted version. Traditionalists will love the L200’s normal appearance at the back with its updated taillights, modified bumper, and new bumper.

The 2019 version has a new offroad mode that includes Gravel/Snow, Sand and Rock settings. It will control the engine’s power, transmission and brakes to regulate wheel slip for better traction on steep terrains. Hill Descent Control will allow you to electronically control the vehicle’s speed when tackling steep or slippery descents.

The new L200/Triton comes with a variety of safety features. These include a Forward Collision Mitigation system that can detect cars and people ahead, as well as Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation. This feature was created to reduce accidents that could be caused by improper use of accelerator pedals when entering and exiting restricted spaces. Rear Cross Traffic Alert and blind spot warning are also available to help you avoid collisions while reversing.

Mitsubishi doesn’t go into too much detail about the oily bits. However, it does state that the five-speed manual transmission has been replaced with a six speed unit which offers better performance and greater refinement. For increased braking power and ride quality, the front brake discs are larger.
