Leno did not choose many options but they were expensive.
Jay Leno showed off his 2017 Ford GT and while he was demonstrating. He briefly held up a piece of paper that displayed the supercar’s VIN. Reddit user spotted the number and used it to search a Ford window sticker tool. It revealed the exact specifications of Leno’s car, as well as the $55,000 worth of options. GT cost Leno $505,750. This included $3,750 destination and $3,000 gas guzzler taxes.
Leno’s car has few extras, despite having options that are twice as expensive as the F150 Raptor. The GT has 20-inch carbon fiber wheels in gloss finish and a price tag of $15,000. The orange brake calipers cost another $1,000 and the titanium lug nuts add an additional $1,000. Leno’s supercar has a black body with orange stripes. These accents add $10,000 to its price. Equipment Group 400A is the only additional equipment that Leno’s GT has. It costs a whopping $25,000. Ford has been contacted about the specific contents of this package.
Leno claimed that he saved 10,000 by not purchasing the optional titanium exhaust in his video. The GT doesn’t include the Competition Series package which includes a Perspex engine cover, a carbon fiber prop to keep the trunk open, as well as thinner Gorilla Glass. This option also includes carbon-fiber trim on the hood stripes, mirror caps and lower body trim. Competition Series models include titanium components for the exhaust and lug nuts.
According to Leno’s video, the window sticker seems to accurately describe his GT. Further evidence is provided by the serial number HH200012 which means that this is the 12th example from Multimatic’s amazing workshop. Leno wanted car 12, because his 2005 GT was also the 12th on the assembly line.
