They are loved by buyers.
Chevrolet was clear from the beginning that the new Corvette C8 would be an exceptional machine. This status is largely due to its supercar looks, dynamics, and mid-engine layout. But the small details are also important. General Motors is delivering the goods with its small gestures to loyal customers.
Chevrolet already has a tradition of thanking its customers for purchasing a new Corvette. This included a small “Thank You” gift, which usually included a personalized letter and/or a Corvette poster. Chevrolet is taking it to the next level with the Corvette C8. CrovetteBlogger reports. Chevrolet sends cool-scale models to buyers as gifts. Although these are not the same as Amalgam Collection’s Corvette sculptures, the general idea is the same.
They are called “Speed Shape Models” by the brand. CorvetteBlogger contributor Jeremy Welborn calls them that. The models come in colors that match the owners’ Corvette C8s. There’s also a badge with engraving of the car’s VIN number. These little C8 replicas are packaged in a neat black box.
The manufacturer is expected to continue this practice when the Corvette Z06 begins deliveries next year, in time for the 2022 model-year. We are excited to see how the Z06’s tech features work together.
