Honda Civic Si Renovated To Imagine Future Sporty Model

This interpretation draws inspiration from the current Si.

The 2022 Honda Civic has a more mature and refined design than its predecessor. We also know that a new Si version is in the works. These renderings by KDesign GmbH show how the front and rear of this sporty model might look. This rendering shows the Civic’s lower fascia. The large pentagonal elements at each end are complemented by the foglights at the corners. This model has a shorter inlet than the standard model. It also gains a mesh cover, instead of horizontal slats. The spokes are shaped more complexly and the wheels have black sills that contrast well with the blue body. The roof is also made of black.

Similar pentagonal elements are found in the rear fascia to the front. Attached to the rear deck is a small spoiler. A trapezoidal, narrow exhaust is found underneath the bumper, similar to the Civic Si. The powertrain of the new Civic Si remains a mystery. The 1.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder makes 205 horsepower (153 Kilowatts) as well as 192 pound-feet (226 Newton-meters). Honda has increased the power of the regular version to this mill for 2022 Civic EX (134 kW). This is 6 hp (4 kW) and 15 Lb-ft (20Nm) respectively. It is possible that the company plans to add more power to the Si.

The new Si will be available later in the year. It might even go on sale before 2022. Honda is building the sports car in Canada. However, the automaker has only confirmed a sedan body. However, a hatchback version is possible.
