Official Guinness approval has been given to Koenigsegg, a Swedish supercar manufacturer. Its 0-300-0 km/h time and 5 other world records have also been approved.
Today, Koenigsegg, a Swedish supercar manufacturer, was officially approved by Guinness for its 0-300-0 km/h time and 5 other world records.
The world record runs were held at Koenigsegg’s proving ground, Angelholm in Sweden on September 2, 2011, at 12.08 PM in a standard Koenigsegg Agera R.
The Agera R world record of 0-300-0 km/h was achieved in 21.19 seconds. This is testament to the car’s stability, acceleration, and braking capabilities.
A twin-turbo, 5.0-liter V8 engine powers the Agera R. It produces 1115 PS (1099 horsepower / 820kW) and 1200Nm (885 lbft) of torque. The supercar, weighing 1330 kg (2932lb), can reach speeds exceeding 390 km/h (245 MPH). Amazingly, the fuel economy is an impressive 14.7 L/100km (16 MPG US/ 19.2 MPG UK), with CO2 emissions of only 310g/km.
Christian von Koenigsegg stated in a press release that they had high expectations when they set out to accomplish this record. The end result was amazing. This is Koenigsegg’s fourth Guinness World Record from 2003. It shows our commitment to building Hypercars that exceed expectations.
These numbers are:
0 – 300 km/h = 14.53 seconds
0 – 200 mph = 17.68 seconds
300-0 km/h = 6.66 seconds
200-0 mph = 7.28 seconds
0-300-0 km/h = 21,19 sec
0-200-0mph = 24.96 seconds
