This Home-Built Stealth Camper started life as a boat trailer

Functional and elegant.

The best thing about building Overlanding Rigs is your creativity. A recent video from New Jersey Outdoor Adventures shows a trailer that was inspired by stealth bombers. It was built by a passionate camp enthusiast. This trailer was originally built to transport lifeboats. Now it is ready to be converted into a customer trailer and can accommodate you on your next camping trip in comfortable air-conditioned comfort. Although these builds are performed in the backyard of the owner, the final results are professional-grade.

It is no secret that camping, and Overlanding are gaining popularity. Many are turning to the great outdoors for relaxation due to recent restrictions and the COVID-19 Pandemic. Many organizations are available to help you build a custom Overlanding van or trailer. These builds are impressive, but they come at a high price due to the small volumes of handmade construction.

Craig, the camper’s owner, decided to build the camping trailer of their dreams in his backyard to circumvent the high entry cost. After selling his maiden camper to an enthusiastic customer, Craig is now building this second one. Craig was able to use the lessons he learned from his maiden camper build to this new build, and it also gave him an opportunity to improve his skills.

It’s a comfortable trailer that offers two sleeping areas, air conditioning, an outdoor kitchen and lots of storage. It’s a compact trailer, weighing in at around 900 lbs.

The exterior design looks professional and is functional. We are eager to see Craig’s third build to see his next ideas.
