After the sedan version debuts later in the year, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is being introduced.

Benzinsider has confirmed that the next Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe will continue to use the 6.3 liter (6.208 ccc) naturally-aspirated engine, despite speculations to the contrary.

Rumor: The next C63 AMG Black Series Coupe will continue to use a 6.3-liter V8 and produce 507 HP

According to the report, the power plant will be modified and produce 507 PS (373kW / 500 HP). This modest output indicates that modifications will be made in order to increase fuel economy for the large block V8 engine.

As usual, the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is lower and comes with a wider body kit (wider than the standard C63 AMG Coupe).

According to Benzinsider the 2012 C63 AMG Black Series Coupe will have several add-on options, including a rear spoiler, and a rear seat bench. The standard model doesn’t have one. There will be five color options – black and white will be the only ones.

The transmission will be the seven speed Speedshift.

Soon after the sedan version is released later in the year, the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe will be available.
