Bentley expands its lineup

Luxury British marque considers coupe and cabriolet versions of its flagship model, the Mulsanne.

British luxury vehicle manufacturer Bentley wants to increase its range of luxury vehicles. This will be done by offering more versions of existing models.

According to Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer a spin-off of Mulsanne and a new version of the Continental are being considered.

Durheimer claims that the growing demand for Bentley models is what prompted the expansion plan. According to Durheimer, the Continental will offer a variety of variants in a manner similar to how Porsche gets so many versions from its 911. Although he didn’t give any details on the variants of the Continental, he did mention some details about Mulsanne.

“We get requests every day for longer wheelbase models with the Mulsanne, for example. It is up to us to decide if we will do it as an order or add it to the model line. Durheimer says that while we are still evaluating the idea, I believe it could be sold in the US and China.
