You can expect minor changes to the front and rear of the vehicle, as well as a new glass cockpit.
The Cadillac XT4 was introduced in 2018 as a 2019 model. Although it may seem new and shiny, many people are already approaching the mid-cycle refresh of this small luxury crossover. We are now able to see the 2024 model in spy photos, which show a camouflaged test car. There’s good news for XT4 fans. The black covers on the front and rear of the car suggest that there are no major changes. Do not be misled by the round lights that are located under the LED running lamps in the front. While the new design for headlights is being finalized, those lights look like placeholder items. This means that the new XT4 will have new eyes. It may look similar to the Cadillac Lyriq. The fascia will be updated with new lights, but the familiar XT4 grille can still be seen through the covers.
We suspect that the bulky camouflage at the back is a red herring. The XT4 taillights are clearly visible in the familiar L-shaped shape at the corners. Trapezoid exhaust tips can also be seen. We expect the new backside to look almost the same as the one we have. Interior changes will be the biggest news in the refreshed XT4, with a large curved screen taking over most of the dash. One spy shot shows the large display through the passenger window. While we can’t see details, it is easy to miss. This is a radical departure from the current model. It reminds us of the Cadillac Escalade’s OLED screen with both the digital instrument and infotainment displays. At this stage, we don’t know much about the powertrain. The current XT4 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder that produces 235 horsepower (175 kilowatts). It can turn either the front wheels, or all four using a nine-speed auto transmission. It is currently the only engine available, and there is no reason to believe it will not return in 2024. A hybrid powertrain might also be available, given Cadillac’s shift towards electrification.
