Doorless 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands gets the Walkaround Treatment

There are many things to see, but the doors don’t make up the majority of the tour.

The Ford Bronco targets the Jeep Wrangler. The most Wrangler-esque feature is the removable doors. This video by Bronco Nation shows us how a Badlands model with light options will look like. We have seen the Bronco inside out.

Interesting is the name we use because this Bronco could be the best for those who want the most off-roading version. Badlands trim comes with a lot of standard gear, including locking differentials front-and rear, front stabilizer bars disconnect, and an upgraded Badlands suspension that is optimized for slow-speed offroading. The Sasquatch Package is available on this particular model. Standard interior trim includes marine grade vinyl on the manually-adjustable seat and the smaller 8-inch infotainment display.

If you are wondering how to store your door, the video doesn’t show them in the back. However, it is possible to transport them with the rear seats folded. However, the front roof sections can be removed and stored with rear seats up. Bronco owners may find it frustrating to have their rear seats fold flat but they still sit higher than the rest. Because the floor is uneven, it’s not as convenient for loading or carrying large items. Also, because the seatbacks are cloth, cleaning will be more difficult.

The video also highlights a conundrum that Bronco owners face when their doors are taken out. Since the power locks are still in the doors, it doesn’t seem to be a problem as you wouldn’t lock doors if they were removed. There is still the rear gate. Does Lock, and if doors aren’t installed, a key fob is required to unlock or lock the gate. This could make it a little frustrating when you return to your rig after a camping trip to get more gear only to discover that you have to go back to the campsite to obtain a key fob in order to unlock the gate.
These are still small potatoes for those who are considering buying a Bronco two-door. Ford currently has 190,000. Bronco reservations and expects that most of them will turn into sales. If Ford’s forecast is accurate, Jeep will sell 201,311 Wranglers by 2020.
