The rest of the collection will not be available until the Detroit Auto Show in two weeks.
We’ve seen the new Ram pickup, and we love its sleek front end. Although most of these photos were taken about a week ago, we have since been able to capture the truck’s nose from bumper to hood. We are not sure if the truck was exposed by a wind gust or if the covers were lifted temporarily to open the hood. We can see that the Ram will continue to sport a lot of chrome front for truck customers who desire it. It is a handsome upgrade from the previous generation.
The biggest change is the removal of the large-than-life grille. A new design that captures the essence and doesn’t look too bulky or oddly proportioned, however, is the most significant. The truck’s front clip blends with the rest of it in a more pleasing manner. This creates a more modern look that is more appropriate for the times.
What other information do we have about the Ram 2500? We know a lot more about the new Ram. The truck gets a new backside, with new bumper and taillight designs. There are also prototypes with split tailgates, but this truck does not seem to have that option. The truck will continue to use steel for its cab and bed. This replaces the lighter aluminum used by Ford for the F150. The interior will also get a refresh, with a larger infotainment display and redesigned controls. Initial power will come from V6 or V8 engines, but there are rumors of turbocharged four-cylinder models as well as hybrid setups and V6 diesels.
We won’t be waiting long for the full disclosure of the new Ram at FCA. The reveal will take place in just a few weeks at the North American International Auto Show (Detroit).
