Many of the changes that are coming to our world have already been seen.
In June, Bentley unveiled a new Bentayga model for the 2021 model-year. Next week, we will see a new Bentayga speed. Many of the same tweaks that were made to the regular SUV will be applied to the Speed. The unveiling will be on Wednesday, August 12, and the automaker shared images of a camouflaged prototype.
Updates will include the addition of elliptical headlights as well as a taller grille. Bentley Every panel at the front, as well as the rear, was brand new on the Bentayga. We expect the Speed to follow suit. We’ll also see quad-exhaust tips with elliptical shapes that are different from the regular trim at the rear. It will have unique rear and front diffusers, as well as black wheels and trim.
The Speed will receive the same interior upgrades that the regular model. This includes the redesign of the dashboard, which houses the 10.9 inch infotainment display. The Speed will also receive the updated center vents, the head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and many other upgrades. Bentley will make the Speed more special with custom badges, stitching, upholstery and other unique touches.
This is a minor update, so the Speed’s W12 6.0-liter engine will remain unchanged. It will likely continue to produce 626 horsepower (466kilowatts), and 664 pound feet (900 Newton-meters), of torque. The 3.9 second run time from zero to 60 mph (62 kilowatts) will remain unchanged. The Speed will likely have a louder exhaust and revisions to the SUV’s Sport Mode, just like the original model.

The SUV’s performance is expected to be available for purchase by the end of this year. The model’s launch date will be closer to when pricing information is available.
