Spoiler alert! Some drilling is necessary.
There are many options available, but there isn’t a high-wing option. Victor Racing offers a carbon fiber option that is easy to fit for the C8.
We are all aware of the dealer-optional high wing, but the carbon version is a different level. This is not a Lamborghini Countach exclusive that you drill in after receiving your new car. This model is 70 inches wide and has been designed after the racecar. Although it won’t instantly transform your car into Jordan Taylor’s Corvette racer Corvette, it will be eager to please
Victor Racing’s Victor Racing product will go on sale for $1,699. It is much more than a piece carbon that you can stick to your car. Although it’s not the same active wing as the company previously made, the new version will offer three levels of adjustability to maximize your track day experience. It looks great, and it has been tested at speeds up to 140 mph (225 km/h) without any issues.
Aerolarri is the first company to stock the VR brand wing. They also sell it with custom-made endcaps. The bare-carbon version, which is not shown in the press photos but will look like the C8.R and SR-71 Blackbirds, will retail for $249. The brand will offer a launch-period deal where the end caps are included free of charge.
You may be curious as to how the new wing fits onto your car. Some drilling is necessary because the Victor Racing option is positioned further back than stock models. We’ll let your decide if this is something you like, but if it’s on your vehicle, you have to be committed. Fortunately, the wing does not restrict your view beyond the rear-view mirror.
The wing can be fitted with a simple power drill. A support plate of aluminum is placed under the decklid. This serves as a guide and helps you drill precisely where you need to.
